Experience an amazing collaboration with the Drama Department, The Dance Project, and Art Alliance to produce shortened versions of Broadway musicals(Annie & Aladdin). This is an opportunity to learn acting and singing, dance, and set design for a full theater experience.

Participants: Ages 6-8, 9-11, 12-15

After March 15: $250 week

One of the most beloved musicals in history. The story of a little orphan girl who seeks love, acceptance, and a home. With famous songs like “Tomorrow,” this show has it all, comedy, drama, music, and dancing. While The Drama Center is producing a full production, campers will not only play the same roles, they’ll be able to watch a real rehearsal, while creating their own short version of this enduring blockbuster.

When the street urchin, Aladdin, vies for the attention of the beautiful princess, Jasmine, he uses a genie’s magic power to become a prince in order to marry her. Iago, Jafar, the Genie, and more are here in Disney’s Aladdin KIDS, a musical adventure filled with magic, mayhem, and the power of love.


Arts Ignite is a collaboration of the visual and performing arts programs of Greensboro City Arts;
Art Alliance of Greensboro, Dance Project, The Drama Center and The Music Center.

Whether you are a beginner or have tons of experience, this workshop is for you. Arts Ignite provides an opportunity for students to experience the whole spectrum of visual and performing arts in one place.

Discover and pursue your passion. Dance! Drama! Music! Art! Do it all in this unique and exciting program. Participants will attend two workshops in the morning and two workshops in the afternoon. Workshops will have a specific focus in each art form, which will change each day. In addition to learning about performing and visual arts from professional artists, campers will participate in performances, showcases, and sharing, making this a fun and collaborative experience.

Class size is limited. Preregistration is required. Scholarships may be available.
